Having been in boulder county for over 10 years now, it’s hard to find a dog daycare as good as “The Pet Spot”. So many daycare’s do great things but many of them miss the mark in certain areas. Alex and his team provide a pet-care service that is hard to find. Being responsive to timing needs/adjustments is a big one, not to mention flexibility in scheduling and having a centrally located kennel in Boulder sets them apart from the rest. Our family is relatively new to The Pet Spot. We’d used other local doggie day care providers and had terrible experiences at each and every one.
The Pet Spot was recommended to us by a very good friend and she did NOT misguide us! From our very first visit, the hard working pros at The Pet Spot have gone above and beyond providing expert care to our 3 Labrador retrievers; ages 8 months to 12 years. When we drop our dogs off at The Pet Spot, we know they are safe. The Pet Spot doesn’t overcrowd play yards. They maintain a high ratio of care providers to dogs so that everyone is well looked after and given attention.

The employees are polite and professional. They greet us enthusiastically when we arrive, by name, send wonderful updates at the end of the day, and aren’t just telling us, as pet owners, what we want to hear.

Our puppy is a little outrageous still, and they politely commented on some corrections we could work on at home. We’ve been pet owners for over 25 years, and in 2 different cities. I’ve used countless day cares, walkers and boarding places for my dogs and The Pet Spot is BY FAR the best operation we’ve found. They are the gold standard of doggie daycare and boarding and are a blessing to the pets of Boulder and surrounding areas.

I’ve been bringing my dog to The Pet Spot (formerly The Dog Spot) since 2017, and I can confidently say there’s no other place I’d rather entrust with their care. My name is Bianca Frazer. My husband and I have used The Pet Spot for our dog, Watson, since 2023. There are so many reasons we love The Pet Spot, and we would really like to continue to give our business to this amazing place.

First, the location cannot be beat for us. My husband works in the business park located .5 miles down the road from The Pet Spot. This location is perfect for us to send Watson to daycare and make our lives so much easier when Watson is dropped off here in the morning and picked up quickly after work. The location is THE reason why we looked into The Pet Spot for daycare.

We also use The Pet Spot for boarding Watson, and we love the daily report cards and care from the staff. We drive from Denver (where we live) to Boulder because the care and service provided at The Pet Spot is worth it to us if we are leaving Watson for longer than a day. We have been able to attend family weddings and other special events with more confidence knowing that Watson is well-taken care of at his favorite spot.

The staff at The Pet Spot are wonderful, and have always treated us kindly when something unexpected happens for us with Watson. One time Watson got sick with Giardia (he didn’t get sick at The Pet Spot), but I had to cancel a daycare visit at the last minute since Watson was sick, and The Pet Spot made it easy to cancel. They didn’t charge us for the late cancel, and this level of care and kindness just made me all the more excited to keep sending Watson there once he was healthy again. They have always communicated well with us and been really wonderful when it comes to the dog we love so much.

We can’t say enough good things about The Pet Spot. We recommend it to others and we feel sad for friends and family who don’t have a daycare and boarding spot they love as much as we love The Pet Spot.

Lastly, Watson is so special to us, and it means the world to us to have a place that we feel comfortable and safe leaving him for a day or a longer stay. We would love to continue to give our business to this amazing place and see Watson go somewhere he loves being for daycare/boarding.
